This journal cover is completely done as an in the hoop project. The front and back are constructed in separate hoopings and joined together in a third hooping when making the spine. No hand sewing required. There is a pen pocket in the back as well as a pocket for storing papers. The journal is kept closed when not in use through the means of an elastic strap. You can use decorative elastic or make your own fabric covered elastic (instructions are included for doing so). Your download includes the journal design with the word “Mom' inserted as well as a front design with the word "Mum" embedded. You also will receive the front design with the label left blank so you can insert any initials or short name of your own choosing. Please note that the journal used is a 6x8" journal refill, for sale at Barnes and Nobles online and in store. The dimensions of this journal refill are 5.8x8.3" (=A5 dimensions). Please make sure you use the right size journal for this cover.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.
