Q: Who is Designs by JuJu and why did you acquire Oma’s Place?
A: Designs by JuJu has been creating high‑quality, affordable machine‑embroidery designs since 2007. We’ve admired Oma’s Place for years—the heart‑warming style, the faith‑inspired projects, and the community that Oma built. By being the new home for Oma’s Place designs, we can offer you a bigger library, a stronger support team, and fresh creative energy while honoring Oma’s unique voice.
Q:Will Oma still be involved in designing?
A: Yes! Oma has graciously agreed to stay involved for the near future. Stay tuned for more information surrounding new designs!
Q:Does this mean Oma’s Place is closing its website?
A: The standalone Oma’s Place website will remain live through August 22, 2025.
Q:Will the Oma’s Place brand name disappear?
A: Not at all. Oma’s Place designs, available in the Designs by JuJu catalog, will all be labeled “by Oma’s Place” in their names and descriptions.
Q: When will Oma's Place designs be available on Designs by JuJu?
A: The Designs by JuJu team is working hard to bring the Oma's Place design catalog to it's new home on our website ASAP. Be on the lookout in our newsletter and on our social media platforms for a future announcement.
Accounts & Login
Q: Do I need to create a new Designs by JuJu account or will my Oma’s Place login work?
A: If you don’t already have a JuJu account, you’ll need to create one. Your account from Oma’s place (including downloads, purchase history, and account information) WILL NOT transfer to Designs By JuJu. You have until August 22, 2025 to download all of your products from Oma’s Place.
Q: Will any of my account data from Oma's Place transfer over to Designs by JuJu?
A: Designs by JuJu does not and will not have access to any of your previous customer data stored in your customer account on Oma's Place (Wishlist, Cart, Address, Purchase History, etc.) If you would like to review or remove any of that data, please login into your account on www.omasplace.com or reach out to Oma's support team if you need assistance.
Previous Purchases & Download Access
Q:Will I have access to previously purchased Oma files?
A: You will have until August 22nd to download any of your purchases from the Oma’s Place website. After that date you will no longer have access to your files. Please make sure to download all of your purchases from the Oma's Place website prior to August 22nd. Designs by JuJu will not have access to previous customer data such as purchases and order information from Oma's Place.
Q: How can I re‑download designs I bought from Oma’s Place?
A: You will have until August 22nd to download any of your purchases from Oma’s Place. The personal purchase history is now the only available function left on Oma’s Place. After August 31st, your purchase history on Oma’s site will no longer be available to you.
Q: Will old purchase history move over automatically?
A: No. Your account from Oma’s place (including downloads, purchase history, and account information) WILL NOT transfer to Designs By JuJu.
Q: I lost my download links—who do I contact now?
A: You will have until August 22nd to download any of your purchases from Oma’s Place. After August 31st, your purchase history on Oma’s site will no longer be available.
Formats, Design Quality & Compatibility
Q: Will design formats (PES, JEF, DST, etc.) remain the same?
A: Yes. Every format Oma previously offered will be available when the design is made available on the Designs by JuJu website.
Q: Are the stitch files being redigitized or changed?
A: No. No redesigns—just the same clean stitches you have come to expect.
Q: Will I still get multiple sizes included like I do with JuJu designs?
A: Oma’s current catalog of designs will be transferred to Designs by JuJu as is, including the sizes originally designed by Oma’s. Going forward, all new Oma’s Collection releases will match JuJu’s “multi‑size standard.”
Licensing & Terms of Use
Q: Do the Terms of Use change under Designs by JuJu?
A: Yes. Designs by JuJu’s standard Personal & Small‑Business License will apply to all designs in our catalog, including those transferred over from Oma’s Place. That means you can sell up to 250 finished items per design, per year. Need more? Ask us about a commercial extension.
Q: Can I still sell items made with Oma’s Place designs in my craft shop?
A: We encourage the use of our designs to be stitched on items you sell! Our designs MAY be stitched on items to be sold as long as they are not mass-produced (i.e., hiring someone else to sew the designs or sewing them on a production line). As long as only the individual purchaser sews the designs, there is no limit to the number of times you may stitch them on items for sale. Designs used on items for sale must be purchased. FREEBIES: You may NOT use our free designs on items for sale. You must purchase the designs if you are going to make a profit.Customer Support & Communication
Q: Who do I contact for order issues—Oma’s Place or Designs by JuJu?
A: For any purchases made through Designs by JuJu, contact the JuJu support team at support@designsbyjuju.com. For any purchases made through Oma’s Place, reach out through https://www.omasplace.com/contact/ before August 22, 2025.
Q: Will support hours and response times change?
A: The Designs by JuJu support crew answers emails Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. ET. Expect a reply within one business day (often faster).
Q: Will I still receive Oma’s Place newsletter?
A: You’ll be seamlessly added to JuJu’s Happy Stitching newsletter. One email, double the inspiration. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Q: How do I subscribe to JuJu emails without getting duplicates?
A: If you were on Oma’s list as of May 21, 2025, you’ll be merged automatically—no double mail.
Future Products & Community
Q: Will there be fresh releases in the Oma’s Place style?
A: Our plan is to have new designs from Oma monthly! Stay tuned for more information.
