Redwork is the embroidery style with a history lesson in its name. In the late 1800s, colorfast Turkey red thread made simple outline stitching affordable and washable, and the look stuck: clean single-color lines, quaint and graphic, letting the drawing do the work. On a machine, that tradition translates to low stitch counts, which means fast stitch-outs, less thread, and a soft hand on tea towels and flour-sack fabric.

This collection keeps the tradition and its cousins together. The Herbal Redwork series and Nativity Redwork carry the classic red line. The Bluework Herbs and Easter Bluework sets run the same style in blue, the historical sibling. And the bean stitch designs, candy borders, snowflakes, princess frames, and knights, use a thicker three-pass line that reads boldly on kids' projects while staying quick to stitch.

Line-style stitching rewards simple subjects, which is why it pairs so naturally with the vintage sketch designs nearby, and why the nativity lineup includes redwork versions of the season's most-stitched scene.

Every design downloads instantly. Pick a towel, pick a line, and let one color do the talking.
