This adorable 8" square mini quilt would make a great addition to a baby’s or small child’s room. It would also make a great baby shower gift. The elephant and heart are appliqued. The mini quilt can easily be made to look more girly by adding a tiny bow to the top of the ear or tail and by placing crystals in the center of the small flowers. The background of the mini quilt is quilted in the hoop with a heart motif and the various borders get attached during the in the hoop process. There is a "sleeve" in the back that will make it easy to hang the mini quilt. No additional hand or sewing machine stitching is required. This mini quilt can also easily become a quilt block in a larger project. Just skip applying the sleeve and the back, and you have a quilt block for making of a pillow, crib size quilt, or larger wall hanging.
Also included with your purchase is a plain block (without the designs, but still with quilting stitches). This will allow you to insert a design or fabric of your own choice. It would be great for insertion of a large monogram.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank. That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
