This adorable bib is entirely constructed in the hoop; no additional sewing machine or hand stitching required. The background is quilted with a bunny motif. The bunny and the inside of the bunny’s ears are appliqued. Closure of the bib is accomplished with a plastic snap. The 7x12” size is appropriate for 3 to 6 months old babies; the 8x12” fits a 6 to 12 months old infant. Appropriate for both boy or girl; just change the color of the applique fabric. Combine this project with some of our other in the hoop baby designs for a one of a kind gift for a baby shower. Perfect for baby’s first Easter/Spring. Fonts shown in samples are not included. Shown is our 1” Chicago font.

Supplies Needed
Quality cotton or flannel (solid color or a pattern that does not interfere with the design) for the front bottom
Quality cotton (regular cotton or cotton flannel) for the front top and back
Cotton flannel (preferably white) for the inner layer
2 small scraps of fabric for the applique bunny (head and inside of ears)
Steam a Seam 2 or HeatNBond Lite (optional)
Polymesh (cut away) stabilizer or white flannel used as stabilizer
Painters’ tape
Small, sharp, curved tip scissors
Plastic snaps and snap applicator (preferably long prong snaps
I use Kam snaps which I have found very easy to apply. You can find them online at www.kamsnaps.com. They are pretty much the same as Babyville plastic snaps that you can buy at JoAnn’s (for US residents).

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank. That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
