4 gorgeous Japanese sashiko style inspired quilt blocks in 6 sizes each: 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch, 7 inch, 8 inch and 9 inch
Each block comes in two stitch styles: a continuous run stitch and a triple bean stitch.
These are square blocks and are NOT designed for edge to edge quilting across blocks.
They feature placement and tack down steps for batting and fabric before the quilting step.
These blocks stitch up beautifully with no jump stitches! Perfect to use on your quilts in place of regular stipple stitching. We included a variety of sizes so that even those with only a 4x4 hoop can enjoy them! These blocks are so simple to make. Basic instructions are included with your download. We have a fantastic, comprehensive TUTORIAL ON OUR BLOG HERE with text, photos, and videos.
Sashiko is a Japanese style of stitching traditionally used to reinforce points of wear or to repair worn places or tears with patches, and traditionally use geometric patterns. Today, this running stitch technique is often used for purely decorative purposes in quilting and embroidery. These quilt blocks are inspired by this style and we have digitized geometric patterns designed by our artist and include them in both a single running stitch and triple stitch option. Triple stitch blocks will have a higher stitch count but are more "defined" stitches that give a heavier stitch appearance.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank. That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
Designs by JuJu recommends the user friendly Embrilliance embroidery editing software to type out fonts in BX format, combine/merge designs, personalize and customize projects and more! Check out their programs Essentials, Enthusiast, StitchArtist , and Thumbnailer to learn more about their other useful, fun and easy features!
