Here is a super cute in the hoop project that is fast and easy! Quilted mini composition notebook covers. These will cover the "mini" composition notebooks that are 4.5 inches x 3.25 inches. They can be purchased at the dollar store or in bulk on Amazon.
There are two different patterns included in this set
5x7 hoop required to make these. No additional sewing required. Instructions call for an optional elastic to fold to wrap to the back to hold the cover closed. We use FOE (fold over elastic)

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
