Create a seamless, custom, one-fabric applique name with our Janay Bean Stitch Applique Script! You will need embroidery editing software with a colorsort feature to fully take advantage of this carefully designed alphabet.
Seven sizes included: 2-inch, 2.5-inch, 3-inch, 3.5-inch, 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5-inch
Sizing is based on the height of the capital A, and all other letters are scaled to match.
There are four styles of letters included for each size of the alphabet:
-Capital Letters
-Lowercase Left Letters: closed on the left side of the letter and open on the right, intended to be the first lowercase letter in a name or word
-Lowercase Middle Letters: open on both the left and right sides, intended to connect to additional lowercase letters on both sides
-Lowercase Right Letters: open on the left and closed on the right side of the letter, intended to be the last lowercase letter in a name or word.
You will use embroidery editing software to merge together the letter combination you need in the correct sequence, align the openings, then perform a colorsort and adjust the stitch order to create placement and beanstitch tackdown steps that stitch with minimal jumps! Applique fabric is trimmed after the design is complete.
BX files included with purchase! Please see the tutorial video to learn how to use them.
IDEAS:
Use a fusible product on fabric and trim close to bean stitch for a more polished look.
Trim with a generous seam allowance and rough up the edges for a raggy look.
Trim away the holes like a traditional applique.
Tack down a second fabric on top of the holes for a fun look.
Tack down two fabrics trimming the top layer closer than the bottom layer to create an echo around the word.
Combine with additional designs, like our Bow Bean Stitch Applique as shown on the little sis shirt and sophia pillow (sold separately)

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank. That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
Designs by JuJu recommends the user friendly Embrilliance embroidery editing software to type out fonts in BX format, combine/merge designs, personalize and customize projects and more!Ā Check out their programs Essentials, Enthusiast,Ā StitchArtistĀ , and ThumbnailerĀ to learn more about their other useful, fun and easy features!
