ITH Crazy Patch Ornament Bell
Skip the tinsel and decorate your tree with our new Crazy Patch Christmas Ornaments! This bell shaped ornament uses the "stitch-and-flip" method for piecing four different scraps of fabric in a crazy patch style, with decorative motif stitching over the seams and a heavy bean stitch outline.
Use batting, felt or foam for thickness. Use a fusible product like SF101 or Heat-n-Bond Lite on your fabrics and trim neatly for a polished look OR skip those products and fray the edges for a shabby look. Add a layer of burlap for extra texture. Trim with pinking shears for a zigzag finish. Use ribbon or cording for the hanger, embellish with bows or beads... the options for customization are endless!
4", 5" and 6" sizes included for 4x4, 5x7 and 6x10 hoops
Finished Sizes will vary depending on how closely you trim around the shape. The following measurements are based on leaving 1/4" all the way around:
4 inch Approximate Finished Size 4.25”x4.25”
5 inch Approximate Finished Size 5.25”x5.5”
6 inch Approximate Finished Size 3.25”x6.5”
Requires only one hooping. Made completely in the hoop. No additional sewing required.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
