Welcome to the Star-Spangled Stitches Series! This special series was created to honor the heart of the USA: tradition, community, and the pride we feel when we make something by hand. This block-based collection was designed with maximum flexibility in mind, so you can mix, match, and arrange your favorite blocks into custom projects that reflect your unique style. Whether you're stitching for summer celebrations, creating a keepsake to commemorate the 250th anniversary milestone, honoring a loved one, or simply spreading joy through thread and fabric, this series is here to help you create something truly meaningful.
The 36 blocks are packaged in four sets of nine blocks each -OR- you can purchase the full series together in one complete set at a discounted price. The choice is yours! Please be advised: purchasing the complete set will not trigger a previous purchase warning on smaller sets, and vice versa. Shop wisely.
SET 3 includes the following nine blocks: America the Beautiful, Baltimore Album Hearts, Big Heart with Daisies, Cherries with Bow, Eagle on Branch, Freedom Flower, House, Truck with Flag, Uncle Sam Hat with Flags.
Blocks are available in seven sizes: 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 7.75x7.75, 8x8, 9x9 and 10x10
NOTE: These are sized to match Quilting Backdrops! The design files are named according to the FINISHED SIZE of the block, not necessarily the hoop in which it fits. *The 5x5 blocks will fit in a 5x7 hoop *The 6x6 blocks will fit in a true 6x10 hoop (it will NOT fit in the smaller 150x240 hoop) *The 7x7 blocks will fit in a 7x12 hoop *The 7.75x7.75 blocks will fit in an 8x8 hoop *The 8x8 blocks require a 9x14 hoop *The 9x9 blocks will fit in a 9x14 hoop *The 10x10 blocks will fit in a 10x16 hoop
The individual applique blocks are stitched completely in the hoop, then joined together with your sewing machine to create whatever finished product you desire, like:
Pillows or pillow covers;
Quilts or lap quilts;
Wall hangings;
Table runners or toppers;
Mini quilts;
Mug rugs or placemats.
Tip! Since these blocks are sized to match Quilting Backdrops, that means you can further customize your project by adding sashings and/or additional blocks using the quilting motif of your choice!

For all other designs, PCS and SEW formats will only include 4x4 files when available for the design.)
These are digital machine embroidery design NOT a finished product. You must own an embroidery machine. You must know how to unzip your files and transfer files to your machine. Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank. That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
