Santa's Reindeer are ready to deliver your next Christmas project! This wall hanging has nine blocks with stitch-and-flip corners and an applique oval with an embroidered reindeer inside. The reindeer feature multiple color layers of lighter density fill to create a blended, variegated, textured look.
Available in five sizes: 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 7.75x7.75, and 8x8
NOTE: These are sized to match Quilting Backdrops! The design files are named according to the FINISHED SIZE of the block, not necessarily the hoop in which it fits.
*The 5x5 size will fit in a 5x7 hoop
*The 6x6 size will fit in a true 6x10 hoop (it will NOT fit in the smaller VP3 150x240 hoop)
*The 7x7 size will fit in a 7x12 hoop
*The 7.75x7.75 size will fit in an 8x8 hoop
*The 8x8 size requires a 9x14 hoop
Approximate finished sizes (using our proposed layout of 3 rows of 3 blocks):
5x5 - 15" x 15"
6x6 - 18" x 18"
7x7 - 21" x 21"
7.75x7.75 - 23.5" x 23.5"
8x8 - 24" x 24"
Requires 9 hoopings. Nine blocks are stitched completely in the hoop, then joined together with your sewing machine. The backing and optional hanging tags are also added with your sewing machine.
Since these blocks are sized to match Quilting Backdrops, that means you can further customize your project by adding sashings and/or additional blocks using the quilting motif of your choice!
Please note: When design files are converted to multiple machine formats, the thread colors auto-selected by format may open with weird colors on your machine or in embroidery software. A detailed colorchart is included in your download to assist you with thread color selection. You do not have to use the exact same brand/thread numbers, but selecting similar shades/tints of the pictured colors is important for the desired effect. Since the fill has a lighter density, some fabrics may show through the sheer stitching. Light colored solid fabrics are recommended behind the reindeer.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
