Introducing our set of quilted mug rug quilt patterns, perfect for creating beautiful in the hoop mug rugs. These patterns allow you to craft mug rugs in four different quilting styles: stipple, crosshatch, waves, and double wedding ring. Each mug rug features a centered panel and two elegant side borders with simple quilting on the side panels.
THREE SIZES: 5x7 hoop, 6x10 hoop and 8x12 hoop.
What Are Mug Rugs?
Mug rugs are a delightful combination of a coaster and a placemat. They're the perfect size to hold your mug and a snack, adding a charming touch to your table setting. They make wonderful gifts and are a great way to showcase your embroidery skills.

Finished Sizes Approximately:

These mug rug quilt patterns are "blank," allowing you to customize them with your favorite embroidery designs. The center panel fits at least a 4x4 design. You can add your chosen design using embroidery editing software (we highly recommend Embrilliance software) or directly on your embroidery machine if it has an editing feature.
A detailed step-by-step photo instruction tutorial is included, guiding you on when to insert your design to personalize the mug rug.
These quilted mug rugs are made entirely in the hoop—no sewing is required! Enjoy the convenience of in-the-hoop mug rug patterns that make your embroidery projects a breeze.

These are digital machine embroidery designs…NOT a finished product. You must own an embroidery machine & know how to unzip your files and transfer files to your machine.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
