Instant heirloom! Create an elegant Christmas tree skirt with gorgeous poinsettia appliques and quilting patterns. Customize with the fabrics and threads of your choice to make a project that is uniquely yours.
3 sizes included: 5x7, 6x10, and 8x12

Please note: This is a new tree skirt layout. The individual blocks are shaped differently, and the finished skirt sizes vary from our previous releases. The files cannot be interchanged with our other three-tier tree skirts.
Requires 45 hoopings:
- Fifteen inner blocks are embroidery-only.
- Fifteen middle blocks feature stitch-and-flip borders with an embroidery-only quilting design in the center.
- Fifteen outer blocks feature applique poinsettias in the center and are finished with stitch-and-flip edges.
The 45 blocks are completely in the hoop, and then joined together with your sewing machine. The backing is added with your sewing machine. Our instructions include sewing the backing onto the pieced tree skirt right sides together and inverting the project. The narrow stitch-and-flip borders on the outer blocks give the appearance of binding without the hard work!
Easy to make and assemble! Our samples were all stitched on single-needle embroidery machines! Complete step-by-step PDF photo tutorial and detailed color charts included with your download. No additional software or cutting machines required. Please note: one sample shows gold piping added between the primary block fabric and the stitch and flip borders; this technique is NOT included in our instructions.

- No Show Mesh Cut Away Stabilizer: enough for 45 hoopings
- Batting: Can use a crib to twin size package

5x7 size: Inner Blocks--1 yard; Middle Blocks--1 yard; Outer Blocks--1 yard
6x10 size: Inner Blocks--1.25 yard; Middle Blocks--1.25 yard; Outer Blocks--1.5 yard
8x12 size: Inner Blocks--2 yards; Middle Blocks--1.5 yards; Pieced Outer Blocks--1.5 yard
- Border Fabrics:
5x7 size: Middle Blocks--0.5 yard; Outer Blocks--0.5 yard
6x10 size: Middle Blocks--0.75 yard; Outer Blocks--0.75 yard
8x12 size: Middle Blocks--1 yard; Outer Blocks--1 yard
-Applique Fabrics: 0.25 yard each of four flower fabrics, 0.25-0.5 yard of leaf fabric
- SF101 interfacing: We recommend adding SF101 to the background fabric of the Outer Blocks to prevent puckering when stitching out the detailed applique designs.
- Backing Fabric (5x7 size: 37" x 37"; 6x10 sizes: 49" x 49"; 8x12 size: 60" x 60"; depending on width of fabric, you may need to piece backing.)
- 1” Double Fold Bias Tape: a package of 3 yards is plenty for creating a tie closure.

Formats available: DST, EXP, JEF, HUS, PES, VIP, VP3 & XXX for ALL purchases. (ART, PCS and SEW formats will not be available for Oma's Place Designs. For all other designs, PCS and SEW formats will only include 4x4 files when available for the design.)
These are digital machine embroidery design NOT a finished product. You must own an embroidery machine. You must know how to unzip your files and transfer files to your machine.

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank. That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
