Decorate for Valentine's Day with our Heartfelt Whimsy Wall Hanging! This project is made of six main blocks with sashings, finished with a border. The main and border blocks feature bean stitch appliques of hearts, flowers and swirls. Use the fabrics of your choice for a unique project!
Each applique fabric has only two colorstops: a single running stitch placement step, and bean stitch step that serves as both the tackdown and finishing stitch. We recommend using a fusible product on the applique fabrics and neatly trimming 1/8"-1/4" outside the bean stitch for a polished look. You might like the results when using a dark embroidery thread for all the bean stitch outlines!

Available in two hoop sizes: 5x7 hoop and 6x10 hoop
Approximate finished sizes:
5x7 - 21" x 28"
6x10 - 28" x 37.5"
Requires 33 hoopings. Seventy blocks are stitched completely in the hoop, then joined together with your sewing machine. The backing and hanging tabs are also added with your sewing machine.
For the regular design files, each of the six main blocks is made in two hoopings: the diamond in the middle is one hooping, and the four triangles are made in a second hooping. Then the triangles need to be sewn to the square to form the overall block.
For machines with larger stitch fields, BONUS FILES are included that allow you to stitch a main block in one hooping:
- 5x7 size combined blocks require a true 6x10 hoop (will not fit in a 150x240 hoop)
- 6x10 size combined blocks require a 9x9 hoop
When using the bonus files, the project is 27 hoopings, with 46 blocks that need to be sewn together.
