In The Hoop Floral Filled Wall Hanging Project

Available in two hoop sizes: 5x7 and 6x10

The finished project as pictured is made of six main "diamond in a square" blocks with rectangular and square sashing and border blocks. Due to the airy nature of the fills, we recommend light, tone-on-tone fabrics for the background so the delicate embroidered details pop.

Approximate finished sizes for the layout shown:
5x7 - 27.5" x 24"
6x10 - 31" x 27"

For the layout shown in our instructions, the 5x7 size requires 41 hoopings; the 6x10 size requires 28 hoopings. Fifty-three blocks are stitched completely in the hoop, then joined together with your sewing machine. The backing and hanging tabs are also added with your sewing machine.

For the regular design files, each of the six main blocks is made in multiple hoopings: the diamond in the middle and the four triangles are made in a separate hoopings, then the triangles need to be sewn to the square to form the overall block.

For machines with larger stitch fields, BONUS FILES are included that allow you to stitch a main block in one hooping:
- 5x7 size combined blocks require a 7x12 hoop
- 6x10 size combined blocks require a 8x8 hoop
When using the bonus files, the project is reduced to 29 blocks that need to be sewn together.

For the design files that include multiple blocks per hooping, two versions are included:
-INDIVIDUAL each block is completed one-by-one, which allows for the most flexibility in fabric and thread color choices.
-SORTED allows you to tack down and trim all batting first, then tack down one large piece of fabric and stitch the design elements efficiently. When complete, carefully cut right between the blocks leaving a 1/2" seam allowance on each.
