Oh my gosh! I found the most wonderful new fabric store the other day. It just opened and it's only about mile from my house. Yay! They had the most fabulous selection of super cool fabrics and I was so inspired by them. I couldn't wait to get home and start creating. 
The only hand sewing you have to do is a little bit of whipstitching to close the opening and adding the buttons, which are optional but make the pincushion really cute! 
The finger pincushion can me made in minutes. All of the other pincushions should finish up in less than a half hour...unless you are really slow at whip stitching....lol.
Design details:
The Pincushion Set includes 4 designs: a 5x7 pincushion, a wrist pincushion (just slide onto your wrist with elastic--and that's sewn on in the hoop), a finger pincushion (yep, it has elastic too and it's sewn on in the hoop too), and a 4x4 pincushion (great to travel with). All designs (except for the 5x7 pincushion) fit the 4x4 hoop.
Complete instructions as well as several "how to" photo pages are included too. Both the wrist and finger pincushions have a plastic buffer between your skin and those "pokey" pins, cuz' I would be one to stab myself!

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
