The "No Dip" Dog Bandana
Made in the hoop!
Most of the dog bandanas I see are, "yawn"....boring! Ellie (my Chihuahua) and I decided to spend a day making some really cute dog bandanas.
The first bandana I designed was dippy! Like most bandanas, it was a square of fabric folded into a triangle, which leaves a long point. As soon as I put it on Ellie, she got a drink from her water bowl, the point dipped into the water, and got all wet! Yuk!

Then I came up with a new, improved, shorter point, "No Dip" dog bandana. Ellie is delighted with her new, "No Dip" dog bandana and we hope your dog (or cat) will be too.

Design details:
This is an in the hoop design, however the casing is sewn closed on a regular sewing machine. Step by step instructions with helpful how to photos make this design super easy and quick to stitch!
The "No Dip" Dog Bandana is made to be worn through a dog collar.
The dog collar itself, is not part of the design.
"No Dip" Dog Bandana sizes:
XS: Casing is 1 inch wide, length from top of casing to point is 3.25 inches, width is approximately 5 inches. Great for toy breeds, Chihuahuas (like Ellie), Yorkies and small cats or up to 5 pounds.
S: Casing is 1 inch wide, length from top of casing to point is 4.00 inches, width is approximately 5 inches. Great for Chinese Crested, Jack Russell Terriers and Miniature Shnauzers or from 5.5 up to 11 pounds.
M: Casing is 1.5 inches wide, length from top of casing to point is 5.00 inches, width is approximately 5.90 inches. Great for Beagles, Cocker Spaniels and French Bulldogs or 11.5 pounds up to 23 pounds.
L: Casing is 2 inches wide, length from top of casing to point is 6.00 inches, width is approximately 7.00 inches. Great for Border Collies, English Bulldogs, Dalmations or 23.5 up to 50 pounds.
XL: Casing is 2 inches wide, length from top of casing to point is 6.75 inches, width is approximately 7.75 inches. Great for Dobermans, Labs, and Rottweilers or 51 up to 80 pounds.
Dogs with thicker necks (such as Pugs, English Bullodogs, Sharpei) or dogs with long hair or a thicker coat (such as Shelties, Collies), may need the next size larger.

S: Fits most 5x7 hoops, actual design size: 5.00 inches by 6.26 inches
M: Fits most 6x10 hoops (Bernina 200-730 users will need the 400x150 hoop), actual design size: 5.87 inches by 8.02 inches
L: (Fits 180 x 300 hoop on Brother, Babylock, Viking Diamond, Pfaff CV, Bernina 10 x 16, and any other hoops with a stitching area of at least 7.00 inches wide), actual design size: 7.00 inches by 8.52 inches
XL: (Fits 200 x 300 hoop on Brother, Babylock, Viking Diamond, Pfaff CV, Bernina 10 x 16, and any other hoops with a stitching area of at least 7.84 inches wide), actual design size: 7.84 inches by 9.78 inches
Please check the maximum stitch area of your hoop before ordering as NO refunds will be given if the design does not fit your hoop!

Our designs are manually digitized and test stitched before release. For best results we recommend stitching our designs unaltered on projects hooped with stabilizer appropriate for the material being used. We cannot guarantee results when our designs have been modified in software or non-traditional hooping methods are used. We highly recommend doing a test stitch on an altered design before putting it on a valuable blank.That being said, we are often asked for a recommendation for embroidery editing software for customizing purposes:
