What machine formats are available?

I offer my design sets in eleven major machine formats:  art v3 (art designs in sets DBJJ396 and later, will be v4), dst, exp, hus, jef, pcs, pes, sew, vip, vp3 and xxx .  Please note that .sew and .pcs formats are not available for 5x7 designs.  In cases where both 4x4 and 5x7 sizes are included in one set, you will receive the format ordered in the 4x4 size and .pes in the 5x7 size. All ELEVEN formats are now available for instant download!

 

Will your designs work on my machine?

I cannot advise as to specific embroidery machines.  However, if you have a way to get designs FROM your computer TO your embroidery machine, then the answer is yes.  You will need the appropriate hardware/software to use these designs.  Examples include your embroidery software, a reader/writer box such as Magic or Amazing box, etc.  My designs are offered via download and CD Rom only. I do not offer 3x5 floppy discs.  You must know your machine's hoop capabilities as well.

 

I don't know what format I need..do you?
Your best bet is to check your manual or with your dealer. Here is a handy chart however of common machine brands and formats:

ART-Bernina machines
DST - Tajima machines
EXP - Melco machines
HUS - Viking, Husqvarna machines
JEF - Janome machines
PCS - Pfaff machines (not available on 5x7 designs)
PES - Brother, Baby Lock, Bernina machines
SEW - Janome, Kenmore, New Home, Elna machines (not available on 5x7 design sets)
VIP-Husqvarna machines
VP3-Husqvarna, Pfaff
XXX - Singer, Compucon machines

I have two embroidery machines. Can I purchase my designs in two formats?
Our system only allows one format to be selected for instant download. If you have more than one machine and need two different formats, you will need to order your designs on CD. Our CDs are multi-formatted with all of the major formats. We are no longer able to add extra formats manually to orders due to increased requests. You must order the CD.  If you have made purchases in the past and need them now in a diferent format, it is not necessary to re-purchase the designs, just the CD for $6.95.  Please email us at designsbyjuju@carolina.rr.com You may still instantly download your designs in the format you ordered to have while you wait for your CD.

 

Do you sell single designs?

Single designs are sold upon request for $4.00 each. Email us at designsbyjuju@carolina.rr.com  We can either send you a paypal invoice or call you to take your credit card over the phone. Once payment is received, the design will be emailed to you within 24 hours. (excluding Sundays and holidays)

 

Do you have a terms of use policy?

Yes! Thank you for asking.  My terms of use policy can be found here.  

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

No. Due to the electronic nature of the product, it's availability for instant downoad, and it's ability to be reproduced, refunds are not offered.  If you receive a damaged cd, I will gladly exchange it for a new one.  Designs also may not be exchanged for another design set. We must hold firm to this policy. Please be sure of your choices prior to making your purchase. Thanks for your understanding of and cooperation with this policy.

 

How do I pay for my designs?
I accept the following payment methods securely through my shopping cart:     American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and Paypal.  A printable order form for snail mail orders is available HERE

How will I receive my designs?

 A.  Your designs are delivered via instant download by default.  If you are unable to retrieve them this way, they will be emailed in zip files. 

B. You may opt for your entire order on CD.  This is available for an additional cost of $6.95. Simply choose CD under shipping options at checkout. Your CD will be mailed via Priority Mail withing 2-3 business days. You will STILL be able to download your designs so you can have them while you wait.

 

When will I receive my designs?

Your designs are delivered instantly via instant download upon completion of your checkout.  If there is a problem and you do not receive your designs or have trouble downloading, please do not worry as we will email your designs to you. Please send an email to: designsbyjuju@carolina.rr.com   Your designs will be emailed within 24-36 hours via zip files. Oftentimes, you will receive them much much sooner. Please note that we are CLOSED all day every Sunday and will not be able to send designs or respond to emails on Sundays.  Rest assured your email will be answered Monday morning.

If you ordered a CD, it will be mailed via USPS Priority Mail within 2-3 business days. All CDS are multi-format including a folder for each of the nine formats ordered

 

When will my email be answered?

Your email is important to us and will be answered as soon as possible.  We operate out of our home and have families and children to tend to. Kindly allow up to 24 hours to receive a response to your email. Most often it will be much faster..sometimes if timing is right it turns out to be within minutes, other times, hours.  If you send an email on Saturday evening, it will be answered on Monday.  Thanks so much for allowing us 24 hours to give you excellent customer service.

 

Do you offer custom digitizing?

No. Due to time constraints, custom digitizing is not offered.  I happily refer you to http://www.oregonpatchworks.com/where you will find a link for a quality custom digitizing service

 

What software do you use to create your designs?

I use a variety of digitizing softwares to create my designs, depending upon what effect I am hoping to achieve.  All designs are 100% manually digitized by me and tested as many times as necessary to bring you a high quality design.

 

I purchased these in 4x4 and need them enlarged/reduced etc. Can you do that?

Unfortunately, this falls within the realm of custom work and I am unable to do that at this time.  The designs are only available in the sizes which they were released in.  However, there are many good editing programs on the market..or your specific software may allow you to enlarge/reduce.  I recommend NOT change the design size more than 20% to maintain the integrity of the design.  Please be advised that if you do edit or resize your designs, you do so at your own risk. Designs by JuJu is only responsible for the quality of the files that we provide you.

 

What is applique?  How is it done? Is it hard?

Applique is FUN and EASY.  All of our machine applique designs are 100% manually punched. You can find a step by step photo tutorial HERE . 

 

My hard drive crashed. I lost all of my designs. Can you resend them please?

We understand how frustrating it is when one runs into computer troubles. 

Please SAVE your designs and back them up to avoid losing them in the unfortunate event of a hard drive crash. Thanks!

We now have the ability on our site for you to look up and download your previous orders as far back as 2005.  We are unable to look up and replace any design orders made prior to 2005. 

 

I do not like to give out my information over the internet.  Do you have a phone number I can call to place my order?
I do not have a customer service phone number at this time. I am happy to phone you to take your credit card over the telephone if you provide me with your phone number..or I can give you mine through email. I received my designs via download or in my email. The colors are all funky and are nothing like shown on your website!

Regarding the colors being off or "weird", this is not uncommon at all due to the fact that each format has it's own color palette...and they can be quite different from one format to another. Therefore, often times upon conversion, the original colors of the designs will change and vary from format to format. Again, this is totally normal, and the reason why color charts are provided with each design set.

If you follow the color chart provided, the design will stitch out in the appropriate colors. This is how I sew out all of my designs.

If you would like for your designs to show the correct colors on your embroidery machine screen, there are programs that you can change the colors in so they will show up with the thread brands you use etc. I like Embird and Designers Gallery ColorWorks.

I'm having trouble downloading my designs. What should I do? HELP!
Do not worry! I will make sure you receive your designs. If you are unfamiliar with zip files, please visit HERE to find out how to unzip.  You can also find instructions on instant download HERE.   If you are still unable to download, please EMAIL ME.  If you are more comfortable receiving your designs on CD, that option is available at checkout for an additional charge.

For free machine embroidery designs and updates: sign up with your newsletter by typing your email address in the yellow box at the top left of this page. Members of our Designs by JuJu newsletter receive special offers and will receive free design links not available elsewhere in 2008.

If you are not logged in to yahoo, you need to do so. Then, you can see a menu on the left.
One of the options is "files" If you click on files, you will see many folders with the names of different
months of free designs. Simply look in the folders and there are zip files to download.

HELP!  You announced new free designs in your yahoo group but I am getting a " not authorized" message. I am a member. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. Sometimes, this will happen if there is a lot of activity and a lot of people are downloading the designs...the bandwidth for the day will have been reached. If you try back later in the day or tomorrow, you should not have any trouble. Again, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. It is beyond my control and is a "yahoo thing".

 

What brand of thread do you recommend?

I digitize in and use only Robison Anton Super Brite Polyester thread. I have found this to be a wonderful thread..strong and beautiful.  You can get it several places online including:

Of course, there are many great threads available on the market. You may mix and match threads and use whatever you like. I just personally prefer Robison Anton Super Brite Polyester, and that is the brand from which I use my digitizing color palette.

 

Can you tell me what designs I have already purchased?

It is best to keep your designs purchased from various vendors organized in folders so you can find what you are looking for and know from whom you purchased various designs.  There is a great tutorial to aid you in organizing your designs here:

You can now look up your previous orders and redownload them by logging into your account located at the top of the header of the website.
